HG 1/144 Mr. Bushido's Ahead Part 05

With a Little Bit of Love
So much of my ''gunpla-ing as frequent as possible'',*laugh*Though I guess this is as frequent as I can. Then again, I'm actually nearing completion of this kit, & I enjoyed myself  throughout the process. Hey, that's what hobbies for right?
So we all know in Gundam 00 Season 2, Graham Aker was somehow got some sort  of samurai's revelation (?).Thus he returns in the series/timeline as a Samurai; which is a complete set of alias(Mr. Bushido), an old japanese style mask+hiori, & of coarse, his own customized-style/performance-Mobile Suit.
I mean, a giant robot samurai wielding giant beam Katana+Wakizashi? That's something to love man~XD
The works:
The plan was simple; enhance the appearance of this suit armament as much as I'm able to.
Parts to be painted for this review.

The blunt clear part given by Bandai just didn't grew in me.So I decide to put some effort to give this stylish melee weapon somehow a more presentable look.I chamfered the side of the beam part to the flash line that's supposed to be the cutting edge of the beam Katana.
I begin flat needle file(double cut), then a needle rasp file, & finally have the part shaven with art knife.
Also, I positioned my file as if I'm sharpening the real thing--->Only file & shave area that's supposed to be the tempered area.It isn't hard to know which direction & what angle to work on, but maintaining it when actually work on it? kinda tricky I'd say.
Comparison with unchamfered part of beam Wakizashi.Gotta love the effect of blade ridge there.
(Top view)Also sharpen tip of of the beam part. Red highlighter was used to have better visual during the process. They're clear part after all.^^,

Repeat the same process for the beam Wakizashi. This one is unsurprisingly easier, given its length.

Remember, ensuring the part is absolutely free from any plastic residue prior painting is atmost important,& it can never hurt you..... Unless you exam it so close that you poke your own eyes.XD
Take out your paint brush & let Mr. Color clear Yellow(48) do their work. The paint is actually honey-like stickiness...(do they should be like this?)
Let us not forget this 'Clear part that soon become clear from sight once it being assembled' shall we?

So in the mean time of waiting the paint to dry, I continue with these.
Two Tsuka (handles) with different length + two Tsuba (guard)/ Habaki (blade collar)

With idea of the highlighted armor in mind, I decide to continue the consistency onto the weapons as well. So, Let's Go Kamen Rider! Mr.Color Gold(9)!
At first plan grey for the Habaki, but I can't bring myself to such details. So all gold in one go,ha.
Gold for the Kashira (buttcap). That 'stroke of gold' is for panel lining,if you so choose to ask.
After ensure the paint had dried, I shave the excessive paint using art knife.
Seriously, Bandai should come up with this kind of lineart for this Mobile Suit.

Since the clear yellow paint had dried, I apply a thin layer of  clear red paint(Mr. Color 47)

This thing now look more like a Katana covered
with blood rather than a GN-Tau powered beam katana.
Urrghh...

Upon Completion:
Test fit.One thing I like about the handle is that the lining is actually exposed when you have the kit hold them, as if they were meant to be shown. How awesome was that!
Photoshoot with the rest parts for the armament.

As for now, I'd actually finish assembling this kit. But as far my laziness concern*ahem*, it take me days afterward for me to make the post.Again, please excuse my laziness. I can say this's the best part in making this kit(save assembling the kit parts by parts and posing it of coarse)
I'd been playing around with the kit & its weapon, & honestly, it worth the effort of putting details on this kit, namely the Katana for sure. But that's for another post.
But now I'd finish editing the pictures, assembling the kits is up next.^^
